As part of its Sustainable Cities series, WSJ. Custom Studios created a special advertising section to showcase the International Water Association's Cities of the Future program. I wrote the in-depth feature, "The Demand for Water," about water scarcity and demand management. Published with the print edition, the pullout section introduced best practices in water management around the world.
In a later installment of the series, an online section explored the payoff for using clean technologies such as energy-saving construction materials and battery-powered buses. I wrote "The Fleet of the Future," about how the City of Chattanooga, Tenn., transformed public transit.
